The five Asian trading firms in Warren Buffett-backed Berkshire Hathaway’s portfolio have seen significant surges in their stocks. One of the firms saw a rise of as much as 30% in 2024. These companies are also the largest of Japan’s general trading companies, in which Berkshire has made substantial investments. Berkshire recently reached a market capitalization of $1 trillion, becoming the first non-technology company in the U.S. to accomplish this milestone. Berkshire mainly invests in American companies, but it also holds equities in Japan and China.
